Inleiding


Na die suksesvolle opnames van vorige jare, is daar in 2023 weer ’n loon en salarisopname vir die landbou van stapel gestuur. Vanjaar het ons die data elektronies ingesamel wat ’n nuwe uitdaging geskep het. Data van 30 poste met hul vergoedingspakkette is verkry. Die inligting van sekere poste, waar daar slegs inligting van een of twee werknemers verkry is, is te min om ’n relevante afleiding te maak, maar ons het dit wel vervat. Data is versamel van 19 deelnemers wat verskeie plase verteenwoordig. Die inligting van 6 881 werknemers is vervat in die opname. Inligting is bekom van verskillende geografiese streke asook boerderybedrywighede.

Introduction


After the successful survey of previous years, another wage and salary survey was launched in 2023 for the agriculture. This year data was submitted electronically which presented new challenges. Data of 30 job titles and their remuneration packages were obtained. The data of certain jobs, where only the information of one or two employees were submitted, is too few to make a relevant deduction, but was still included in the survey. Data was obtained from 19 participants which represents various farms. The information of approximately 6 881 employees are captured in the survey. Information was obtained for different geographical regions and farming activities.

Die komponente van die vergoedingspakket bestaan uit die volgende (omgeskakel na maandelikse waardes):
1. Basiese loon/salaris – vaste bedrag betaalbaar aan werknemer
2. Mediese fonds bydraes – waarde van bydrae deur werkgewer
3. Bydraes tot aftrede – waarde van bydrae deur werkgewer
4. Ander voordele – waarde van enige ander bydraes (bv. huisvesting)
5. Totale vergoeding – totaal van basiese loon/salaris plus bydraes, maar uitgesluit aansporingsbydraes
6. Prestasie/aansporingsbydraes – bydraes deur werkgewer vir prestasie/stukwerk/winsdeling
7. Totale vergoedingspakket – Totale vergoeding per maand

The components of the remuneration package consist of (converted to monthly values):
1. Basic wage/salary – fixed amount paid to employee
2. Medical aid contribution – value of contribution to employee
3. Retirement funding – value of contribution to employee
4. Other benefits – value of any other benefits (e.g. housing)
5. Total remuneration – total of the basic wage/salary plus benefits but excluding incentives
6. Performance/Incentive contributions – contribution by employer for performance/ piece work/ profit share
7. Total remuneration package – total monthly remuneration

Die terugvoering van 30 poste word weergegee. Verder is die opname verdeel in:
1. Aantal deelnemers in die pos
2. Persentiele( 25,50,75)
3. Individuele gemiddeld
4. Geografiese streekvariansie en
5. Boerderybedrywigheidvariansie

Data vir mediese fondsbydraes, aftreevoordele, aansporings en ander voordele word ook verskaf.

Data van individuele deelnemers word streng vertroulik hanteer en word nie beskikbaar gestel nie.

The feedback of 30 jobs are provided. The survey is further separated into:
1. Number of participants in the job
2. Percentiles(25,50,75)
3. Individual average
4. Geographical sector variance and
5. Farming activity variance

Data for medical fund contributions, retirement fund contributions, incentives and other benefits are also provided.

Data of individual participants are strictly confidential and will not be made available.
